Lexington Fire Departments Administrative Professional seamlessly coordinates the day to day functions of the command section. This includes processing payroll, purchasing requests and data management. The Administrative Assistant works a regular five-day work week.

Dawne Patterson

Dawne Patterson has been with the City of Lexington since 1981 and has been the fire departments administrative assistant for 21 years. Her previous employment experience was in the motor freight industry with J.C. Glosson Freightways and Tarheel Express. Dawne is a 1971 graduate of the Secretarial Program at Ashmore Business College where she earned a diploma. She has also received numerous certifications in customer service and computer systems through Davidson County Community College.

Dawne is an avid cook and enjoys collecting cookbooks and recipes. She and her husband John also enjoy spending time with their six grandchildren.
