So why were TV crews in Lexington?!
Bob Timberlake, the internationally acclaimed realist painter and designer from Lexington, NC welcomed the Black Dog Salvage crew to his hometown to salvage a shuttered industrial building before selective demolition, preservation, redevelopment and recycling. Historic Lexington Furniture Plant #1 is located in Lexington’s emerging Depot District.
Who is Black Dog Salvage?
Black Dog Salvage is an architectural salvage company based in Roanoke, Virginia and the subject of the television series Salvage Dawgs. Since 1999, Black Dog Salvage has been saving America’s architectural history one salvage job at a time. The crew works with property owners prior to demolition or renovation to redirect valuable items from the landfill. They then resell, reinvent and repurpose these items for the next generation. Salvage Dawgs airs nationally on the DIY Network, internationally on the Travel Channel and Fine Living Channel and is available on Netflix, Amazon and iTunes.
