School LogoLexington City Schools system is an independent administrative public schools district comprised of six schools serving 3,340 students in grades K through 12. Davidson County Public Schools consists of 18 elementary schools, 7 middle schools, 6 high schools and 2 special needs schools serving 20,800 students.

Located just 4 miles north of Lexington is Davidson County Community College (DCCC), which offers over 50 curriculum programs to help prepare students for enhanced employment.  DCCC operates the Uptown Lexington Educational Center in Uptown Lexington for easy access for students with transportation, family or work scheduling conflicts.
