The Lexington Appearance Commission promotes and enhances the community appearance by recognizing businesses and residences annually through an awards program. 2012 Business Awards
Businesses or non-commercial properties (churches, non-profit organizations) are recognized for landscaping efforts, new installation or addition, a facade improvement or long-term maintenance.
Johnson Concrete received the new landscape business award.
Coleman's Hair Designers received the new facade business award.
NewBridge Bank received the business landscaping maintenance award.
2012 Neighborhood Improvement Awards
Neighborhood properties recognized have either been maintained, landscaped well, or have new additions or new construction for residential use. Renters and homeowners are both eligible.
