The Suppression Staff is comprised of three platoons of firefighters operating four companies who work an alternating schedule of 24 hour shifts. Each platoon is made up of four Captains, four Sergeants and six Firefighters and one Fire Shift Commander. Each platoon is supervised by the Fire Shift Commander who is responsible for the emergency and administrative activities of all members assigned to that platoon.
